Crème de la Crème Begins Filming in the Beautiful Finnish Summer

The production kicked off in the municipality of Vieremä, where the town square was transformed into a lively festival setting for the series. Local residents joined the festivities, creating an authentic atmosphere as the production filmed scenes during a fictional milk festival. The warm welcome from the community and the bright Nordic summer weather provided an ideal start for the upcoming months of filming.

Created as an eight-part drama-comedy series, Crème de la Crème tells the story of a small-town man who discovers the unexpected business potential of peer-to-peer sperm donation and assembles an underground sperm bank in an attempt to save life in the shrinking Finnish countryside. Blending sharp comedy with heartfelt characters, the series offers a uniquely Finnish perspective on community, entrepreneurship and survival.

The series is written by Jukka Vidgrén, Topi Koljonen, Henna Rinnekangas, Juuso Laatio and Anna Heinämaa, directed by Oskari Sippola and Jukka Vidgrén, and produced by Antti Kaarlela, Antti Kairakari and Jukka Vidgrén.

Filming will continue throughout the summer in various locations across Eastern Finland and Oulu Area.
